How to solve HBO GO streaming issues on TiVo?

Many users face a different kind of streaming issues while viewing the HBO GO content on their TiVo. It may be due to some internet problems like slow or intermittent, the problem with HBO GO application or due to any hardware or software issues with your TiVo device. But whatsoever may the reason, here we have some standard troubleshooting steps for fixing the problem. So, go through the following steps to troubleshoot the issue.

  1. Check the status of your network: Use the following steps for checking the status of your network
  • Hold down the TiVo button on your TiVo remote control to open TiVo Central.
  • Click on the option for “Settings and messages.
  • Select the option for “Settings.”
  • Choose the option for “Network” to view the status of your Network.

If the status page of your network shows up your IP address, then it means the test was successful, and your network is in a good state. In case there is any problem with your Network then try to re do the IP configuration for your router. You can also power cycle your Modem or Router by unplugging the power wire and putting it back after waiting for 20 seconds.

  1. Reboot the TiVo device: Go through the following steps for power cycling your TiVo device.
  • Take out the power cord from your TiVo and all the internet network devices like modem or router, etc.
  • Wait for 20-30 seconds.
  • Connect back the power cord to TiVo and the port of your modem or router. Wait for the devices to power on before proceeding towards the next step.
  • Restart the TiVo and wait for it to turn “On.”
  • Login to your HBO GO account and check if you are now able to stream the content.
  1. Try to Reset the HBO GO application by uninstalling and reinstalling it again: Go through the following HBO Go Help steps to reset your HBO GO app.
  • Hold down the TiVo button on your TiVo remote control to open TiVo Central.
  • Click on the option for “Settings and messages.”
  • Select the option for “Settings.”
  • Click on “Channels” to view your Channel provider.
  • Uncheck the check box in front of HBO GO.
  • Power cycle your TiVo by unplugging the main power cord and then putting it back to its place after waiting for 20 seconds.
  • Power on the TiVo and wait for it to power “On.”
  • Hold down the TiVo button on your TiVo remote control to open TiVo Central.
  • Click on the option for “Settings and messages.”
  • Select the option for “Settings.”
  • Click on “Channels” to view your Channel provider.
  • Tick mark the check box in front of HBO GO by clicking on it.
  • Open the HBO GO app and check if the issue is fixed.
