According to findings from Buzzfeed, Kardashian has blocked any use of the snake emoji on her Instagram before Swift Season™ goes into full effect this fall.

This week, Swift has reclaimed the snake on social media after over a year of fans using it to express their displeasure with the singer and her public feuds with Calvin Harris, Katy Perry, and Kardashian.  Read more…

Chicago is a commuter city. While you can easily drive, bike, or take the bus to get to your destination, it is the city’s rail system that brings nearly two million people from point A to point B each and every week. If you think Chicago’s trains are identical to New York’s or San Francisco’s, think again. With the help of Chicago food influencer Mina Im, here are some facts to remind you that every city has a drastically different rail system unique to its area.

Tom Cruise’s fake butt is the internet’s newest conspiracy theory

TwitterFacebook

Anyone remember the 2008 film Valkyrie, starring Tom Cruise?

Probably not a question you expected to be asked today of all days…in 2017. But the film, which takes place during World War II, has made it’s way back into the cultural dialogue — and not because of anything happening in politics. No, no. It has everything to do with Tom Cruise’s booty in a single shot of the film.

Intrigued? We thought so.

So, here it is. The original tweet, by the appropriately named @iluvbutts247, that got the internet thinking: Read more…

John Legend is going back to high school to help teens redefine what it means to be a man

TwitterFacebook

When John Legend was in high school, he loved playing music and performing with his friends. Yet he sensed these passions didn’t make him a man in the traditional sense of the word.

“Obviously in high school, sports culture is so dominant, and the most popular kids are usually the athletes, particularly for men,” says Legend. “So it’s hard to feel as confident about yourself if you’re not at the top of that food chain, if you’re not the biggest, the fastest, the strongest.”

In order to conquer that social hierarchy, some young men might be tempted to embrace toxic masculinity—a version of manhood that has no tolerance for vulnerability. But Legend has another idea: “encourage young men to love themselves and love who they are.”  Read more…
